WHAT A WEEK!!! Dean and I had SO much fun visiting home last week! We didn't realize how much we love St.George until we left! Mainly because we miss our family! Normally when you take a vacation you GO SOMEWHERE... but our vacation was home! And we loved every second of it! We just hung out with family the whole time! We went swimming at the pool just about everyday considering it was over 100 degrees everyday! And we were finally able to meet our NEW niece and nephew. Allison Jane Hilsmann is Dean's first niece on his families side. She was born May 3rd and is just absolutely adorable. And then we met our new nephew Lucas Alan Stott my sister Heathers baby. He was born April 29th and is a little stud! We love them both so much! Lucky for us it worked out perfectly that we were able to be here for his baby blessing! It was so nice! :) Then, we did something special that we don't normally get to do very often is... we all went out to dinner... and when I say WE I mean the ADULTS.. no kids! :) even though I LOVE being around my nieces and nephews it was nice to have adult bonding time! We went to Chillis and just had a blast! We are always so loud when we all get together and are just always laughing! I love my parents and all my siblings! Thanks for an AMAZING WEEK!!!

Birthday Weekend!!

I had such an amazing birthday weekend!! Dean definitely spoils me! We went to Six Flags on Friday the day before my birthday with our best friends Daniel and Brianna Bryner! :) They were celebrating their anniversary so we decided to all go to Six Flags together! If you know me, you know that I am terrified of roller coasters... but, I over came my fear and went on all of the HUGE RIDES! I had a blast! And the best part about it all is the longest we had to wait in line was 15 min!! It was awesome! We had this thing called the flash pass and it was sweeet!!!

Then Saturday morning is my actual birthday and I woke up to breakfast in bed.. (I didnt feel like anything big to eat so he brought me up some cereal and we ate together in bed. It was so nice... Then, we drove down town and went to the museum of science and industry. I know when you hear museum you're like uhhh.... fun? But this place really is awesome! It's huge and it has everything you could even imagine in there! We had A LOT of fun. Dean and I bought this thing called the City Pass that has tickets to all of Chicago's biggest attractions so we are experiencing it all!!! We love it! Then that night Dean took me to The Cheesecake Factory! It was DELICIOUS and we shared a piece of our favorite Banana Cheesecake.. YUM!!

Dean is SOOO bummed because my present that he got me got shipped in the mail, and it got delievered on Friday but we were gone all day at Six Flags so there was a note on the door saying we couldnt pick it up until TUESDAY because it's Memorial Day Weekend! He even paid extra to ship it here in two days!!! He is SOOO bummed!!! but that just means my birthday is spread out longer right? :) hahha but I already know what it is.. I got a second band to add to my wedding ring!!! I cant WAIT to get it! It's going to be beautiful!! I love Dean with all my heart! He treats me soooooooo good!!!

oh, and the last picture with me at my desk... is my work back in St.George sent me a package with all of these decorations and treats... It was so thoughtful! The ladies I work with back in St.George are SO awesome!

downtown adventure...

Dean and I had so much fun this last weekend. We went downtown with the Leavitt family and went to the Sears Tower (which is now called the Willis Tower) We rode the elevator up to the 103rd floor. Which if you know me you know I am terrified of elevators.. I am just really claustrophobic. But it wasn't that bad. All though we were packed in there like sardines. But the boys had a brilliant idea to stand BIG so they took up a lot of space! haha I was closest to the door and got out as fast as I could! ok, that makes me sound horrible. But it was fine! It was SO cool looking out over the city and seeing the big tall buildings! They have this thing up there that is a glass floor and a glass wall that you can walk out onto. It's called the skydeck. It was SO FREAKY. It took me a while to take a step onto the glass. So I had to turn around backwards and step onto it. It was soo crazy. Dean told me to look down and I was terrified. HAHAH there was the city right below me. But then I got used to it and was able to take a few pictures! It was actually really neat!!! Then after that we went down to Dean's work site at Navy Pier and rode Dean's bosses boat up the Chicago river. It was soo awesome to ride in between all the huge tall buildings. What a fun experience. We are enjoying our time out here in Chicago and are so grateful for our friends.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Dean and I celebrated our 1 YEAR anniversary yesterday!!! I can NOT believe it's been a year! That was the fastest year ever!! Not to mention the BEST year ever!!! I LOVE being married to my BEST friend! He is so good to me and we have so much fun together!!
We went downtown on saturday to celebrate... we had dinner on Navy Pier it was so much fun. It such a different life style downtown... there are some WEIRD people in this world!! HAHA we were entertained!
I know it's kinda lame but I dont have any pictures to post from saturday night!! But, Dean bought me a NEW VIDEO CAMERA!!! I LOVE IT!!! So, we recorded a little bit while we were down there!
I am so blessed and I look forward to many many more anniversaries with my love!!!

CHICAGO!!!!!

WELL...... IT'S ABOUT TIME I CAN POST SOMETHING!!!!!! I FINALLY HAVE THE INTERNET HERE!!!! We've been in Chicago for about a month now and it's been GREAT. I really do like it more than I thought I would. We live in a REALLY nice area called Glenview, and we are about 2 minutes away from the Temple it's SO AWESOME. AND, we are so close to a HUGE mall! We have a little outlet Mall across the street from us that has a movie theater and great places to eat. We go there a lot. And we are about 30 minutes away from down town. It's perfect! Work is going great for me here, I'm really enjoying it! And Dean is enjoying his work. His view is incredible I'll have to post a picture of what he gets to see everyday! (that will come later)
And as you can see from the pictures I cut 15 inches off my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been talking about doing it for so long and I finally did it!!! It was kind of just spur of the moment. We went over to my friend Brianna's house who does my hair and I was like lets do it... she didnt really believe me.. but, we did it! It is such a huge change and I'm still trying to get used to it! But it was a good change! Dean LOVES IT!! and he is constantly complimenting me! It makes me feel good!
There is sooo much to do here in Chicago.. We went to the Lincoln Park Zoo last weekend and that was really fun. I'm like a little kid at a Zoo. We haven't even scratched the surface of what we need to do here. We need to make a list!
I really do miss my family though! Both my sister and Dean's sister had babies and it's SOOO hard not being there to hold and kiss the new borns.. and I am SOO looking forward to flying home in June to hold them and kiss them! :)
This is a big month for Dean and I. We are celebrating our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! I cant believe it's been a year! Where has the time gone? Dean has something up his sleeve so I'm excited!! Then, it's my birthday on the 29th of this month and I know Dean will spoil me some more! I am so lucky!! I got Dean to spoil me yesterday for mothers day because I told him I have children in heaven! haha it was so nice... He got me a pedicure and he gave me a massage. It was WONDERFUL! Speaking of mothers day... I just want to say that I have the best mom in the world and I love her with all my heart. It's made me realize how much I really do love and appreciate her being so far away from her!
well, I cant believe how much I've typed. I dont normally like being on the computer because I'm on the computer allll day at work.. That's why I just like putting pictures!
But now that we have the internet I will be sure to post pictures of our adventure here in Chicago!
Oh, and I dont know if I need to explain the pictures... the ones of the house is where we live in Chicago. It's SUCH a nice house Dean's boss is GREAT and put us up in this 3 story house. We live with one other couple. But we hardly ever see them because the house is so big! :)

Well.... I don't know where the time went but it's time that Dean and I take off...
We will be driving to Chicago this saturday and we will be living there for about 6 months.
Dean has the opportunity to work for my best friends dad doing government construction jobs. It is a really good job and we are grateful for it....It will be a fun new adventure and we look forward to it together! I am working at SkyWest right now and I love my job. I didnt want to leave it, but I sure as heck am not going to be away from my husband any longer! so my boss made it possible for me to transfer and work at the Chicago hanger doing what I do here. They are sending me with a lap top so it can be possible. I am so grateful. It's going to be hard to leave my family and friends but it's only temporary. And I will be coming back home for my brothers wedding which is April 24th and then my sister is having her baby around May 5th and my sister in law is due May 15th. So, I'll need to make another trip to see the babies. So, if you're wondering where I'll be now you know! :) come and visit anytime! Love you all!!!!

lovin this weather!

This weather is absolutely PERFECT! I cant get enough of it! It's kind of hard being at work looking out my window at how amazing it is out there... so the second I get home Dean and I go outside! We've started throwing the football back and forth with each other it's so fun, while Roxy chases us back and forth.. Then, we've brought her to the dog park a few times! There are so many dogs there lately because it's beautiful out... but the other day I got a call from this girl who said she has Roxy's sister Missy. So, we went to the dog park together so the sisters could play! They look and act so much alike. She lives close so I'm sure they'll be playing a lot more. Then my nephews came over the other day and were playing with Roxy... I LOVE the picture of Beckham peeing on the fence! hahahahha we look over and there's Beck's with his pants pulled down. He does it all on his own. SUCH A BOY!! Anyways the last picture is exhausted Roxy after a long hard day of playing! I love her!!
